As reported by Global News, two churches were targeted by vandals for arson, break-and-enter, and extensive damages. Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Leduc, Alberta had been targeted for a break-and-enter. The bell of the church had been pulled from the tower, cross and candle holder stolen. Two weeks before this incident, in Calmar, Alberta, the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church and Cemetery had been targeted for arson. The bell tower just outside of the Church had been set on fire and completely burned down. In a previous year, 2011, the Church had also suffered extensive damage from another vandalism incident. Leduc RCMP asks anyone with information on either incident to please come forward.
