An arrest was made after the front facade and doors of the St. Roch Church in Quebec City were covered and damaged by graffiti, reports Le Journal de Quebec.

Someone had reported to the Quebec City Police Department that there was graffiti paint on the church’s outer walls and doors.

The man in question, Charles-David Crepeau, had been found swiftly after that. It was also realized that Crepeau had already been arrested earlier on April 3 for similar offenses. He had been strictly banned from the areas of St-Joseph, St-Francois de la Couronne and de la Chapelle streets. Crepeau was in violation of his release during this time.

Crepeau was then caught shortly after the call for St. Roch Church had been made. He now faces two counts of mischief of a property of more than $5,000 and a charge of failing to comply with a condition. Crepeau pleaded not guilty and was released with conditions of not being within a 50 mile radius of St. Roch Church. If Crepeau does not keep this condition he will have to pay $500.

It was not a complete assertion that is was in fact Crepeau who perpetrated this particular crime.
