In Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, St. Paul Co-Cathedral’s Catholic Church was graffitied with red hand prints, fake blood splatter and the words, “We were children”, reports APTN National News. On the same day as the vandalism happening, Cowesses First Nation released the findings of 751 graves at the Former Marieval Indian Residential School site. Police have not made any charges so far. The Archbishop, Donald Bolen, formally apologized for the Church’s involvement in the schools, however, the Catholic Church has not formally said anything on the matter.
