CBC News reports that police have released photos of the vandals who targeted Churches following a vandalism spree in Calgary, Alberta. Ten Churches have been targeted on Canada Day in Calgary, Alberta, and St. Mary’s Cathedral is added to the growing list. The spree comes following the release of announcements of remains found at former Residential Schools. Red and oranges paints were splattered on the outer doors and walls of the Churches, the steps and railings, some have hand prints, numbers and graffiti messages like, “We were children.” Calgary Police Force ask that anyone with information please contact them. They also maintain sensitivity and understanding during these incidences for the people affected.
