The recent Catholic Church vandalism continues following the public announcement of the remains of children being found at multiple former Residential Schools, reports The Star. This time, St. Mary Star of the Sea in Mississauga, Ontario has been targeted by vandals. An orange message, “Murder,” scrawled on the front doors of the Church. This incident is being looked at as a hate crime. In the past month multiple Churches have been targeted by vandals who have graffitied in red and orange, splattered paint on the outer doors, walls and windows, left signage, messages and hand prints on the steps, staircases and railings. Police remain sensitive during their investigations given the nature of the crimes.
