In Vancouver, British Columbia, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church has been a target of vandals following the release of the remains of the children from the Former Kamloops Indian Residential School site, reports The B.C. Catholic. St. Joseph’s pro-life memorial monument had been broken from its base, the grave marker knocked over. The priest of St. Joseph’s, Fr. Mark McGuckin also explained that at roughly the same time as the pro-life memorial being damaged, the new building developments near the Church were also burned. He believes it to be an act of arson.
