On Canada Day multiple Churches in Calgary, Alberta were targeted by vandals. St. Bonaventure Catholic Church was among the targeted Churches reports Global News. Red and orange paints were used to cover the outer doors and walls, staircases and railings of the Churches. Messages were also scrawled on the windows and signs taped to the railings. The spree comes after the announcement of remains found at Former Residential School sites across the country. The Calgary Police Service have released images of the suspects and ask that anyone with information contact them. They maintain privacy and integrity during their investigations and are aware of the sensitivities of the public at this time.
