Waterhen Lake First Nation suffered the loss of one of their Catholic parishes when Our Lady of the Smile was burned down, reports CKOM News. The RCMP are treating this fire as suspicious in cause. The Church had been engulfed in flames, but there were no reported injuries. The community of the Catholic Church Meadow Lake made an announcement on social media that it feels the loss of the Our Lady of the Smile Church and the emotional fallout of these actions, they are also praying for those involved in the incident. The RCMP is asking anyone with information to please report to them.
