In Debden, Saskatchewan, a statue of Our Lady of Fatima at the Our Lady of Fatima WWII Memorial Shrine the statue of Our Lady of Fatima had been stolen, reports CBC News. The occurrence happened on Tuesday and the statue was brought back roughly two days later. The statue suffered damages as it was pulled off from the base of the shrine mount with a tractor. The Mayor of Debden Village commented to the CBC News that he suspects the vandals used a tractor, and that there were alleged witnesses to the crime. He calls the act senseless and does not understand why this has happened. There were no charges made.
