On April 21, Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Roman Catholic Church was the target of an arson, reports the Calgary Herald. In Northeastern Calgary, Alberta the Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church was targeted for arson by a man who was seen on camera.

The Calgary Fire Department was dispatched and arrived quickly before anymore damages could be done to the church. The man had set the nativity scene on the property of the church on fire before leaving.

The Calgary Police Service describe the man as roughly 6 feet tall, with a heavy build, between the ages of 20-40 years old and wearing a neon-yellow hoodie. The man also was seen wearing black gloves, grey sweatpants, and black back pack.

Just the day before, a surveillance video provided by the church also shows that another person had thrown an unidentified object into a window of the church, smashing it.

The Calgary Police Service is asking for anyone in the area to contact them with information.
