Multiple churches in Southeastern New Brunswick were targeted with vandalisms starting on July 5 to the 21st of the month, reports, CTV News Atlantic. A list of twelve churches that were affected by the vandalisms are as listed: Sacred Heart Church in Norton, Southfield United Church in Southfield, Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Memramcook, New Canaan United Baptist Church in New Canaan, Notre Dame de L’Annonciation Church in Memramcook, St. James Catholic Church in Kouchibouguac, St. Michael’s by the Sea Roman Catholic Church in Miramichi Bay, Carmel United Church in Napan, Saint Joseph’s Church in Kent Junction, Dorchester Baptist Church in Dorchester, Main Street Baptist Church in Sackville, and Saint Antoine de Padoue Church in Richibouctou Village.

These churches all suffered types of break-ins or thefts, some incidents resulting in damages to the exteriors and interiors of the churches. Some churches had money, or valuables stolen. Copper and metal piping were taken as well. The RCMP states that due to the similarities in vandalisms it is likely to say that these incidents are related. They also state that the incidents most likely occurred during the weekends of the time period in question. The RCMP asks that anyone with knowledge of the thefts and break-ins to please come forward.
