Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church has been hit with vandalism following the Canada Day vandalism spree in Calgary, Alberta, reports Global News. Red and orange paints have been splashed or sprayed on the outer walls and doors of the Churches, on the railings and stairs leading to the buildings. Over ten Churches have been targeted after the announcements of remains being found at multiple Former Residential School sites across the provinces. Churches across the country have been hit with graffiti, defacement, and arson. Police forces in Calgary are asking for the help of the public with identifying the suspects. Police maintain sensitivity and understanding during their investigations due to the nature of the crimes.
