Holy Cross Church in Wiikwemkoong, Ontario, would close temporarily due to being set on fire by vandals who broke into the Church between June 13 and 14, reports Jesuites du Canada. Not only had these perpetrators broken in and set fire, but they also smashed Church windows. The Church luckily did not burn down, and resulted in temporary closure. The damage is substantial and church-goers will have to visit neighbouring Churches until Holy Cross can be restored. The priest of the Church had called for the local police force and the fire department. There is a police investigation happening to determine who the perpetrators are.
