A statue of Our Lady Immaculate that stands outside of the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate in Guelph was graffitied, reports the Guelph Mercury Tribune. The statue that stands outside of the Basilica was graffitied with a swastika, and other symbols and signs. The Reverend Fr. Ian Duffy commented to the Guelph Mercury Tribune on the situation explaining he does not understand why the vandals targeted the statue and says that the Church community will be praying for the perpetrator. The Church caretaker has tried to remove the graffiti but has been unsuccessful.
