Fort St. John’s Catholic Cemetery Pieta Statue Damaged in British Columbia

In British Columbia, Fort St. John’s Catholic Cemetery’s statue of the Pieta has been damaged. The statue, depicting the Blessed Mother holding Jesus after he has been taken down from the cross has been ripped apart from the base and smashed to pieces, as reported by Alaska Highway News. This statue was replacing a previously damaged Pieta in 2005. The currently damaged statue will be replaced in the next year.
