As reported by Thunder Bay Police Service, Corpus Christi Church in Thunder Bay was broken into sometime between July 29 and July 30, 2022, between the hours of 1:30 PM and 10:30 AM.
It is suspected that a man had broken in and damaged the Church’s altar, to cause distress to church-goers who attend mass services there. After reviewing the evidence of damage caused by the break-in, the Thunder Bay Police Service Community Inclusion Team has ruled this incident to be a hate motivated crime. The investigation is still on-going.
