As reported by CTV News Ottawa, on Sunday, a fire broke out in a mixed commercial and residential structure on the property of the Notre Dame De Lourdes Catholic Church in Vanier.
The Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish is located at the 400 block of Montreal Road,
The building on the church’s property was found to be affected by the fire by the time fire crews arrived on the scene at roughly 2:40 p.m. Additionally, the church itself also had smoke coming out of the roof; back up services were called. The Ottawa Fire Services got the fire under control at around 2:55 p.m.
There were two searches of the building to ensure there was no one inside of it.
The cause of the fire is not yet determined and the status of damage has not been provided.
