ABC News reports that Catholic priest, Father Claude Grou, was attacked and sustained injuries from his attacker while celebrating Holy Mass at St. Joseph’s Oratory in Montreal, Quebec. It is said the attacker entered the Oratory and came close to where the priest was standing behind the altar. The young man who was planning on attacking the priest knocked over a candle and then proceeded to attack. He was then held by the Oratory’s security service until the police were on the scene. The priest was hospitalized. A few days later he was declared stable and released. The attacker is being investigated.
