During the Easter weekend the small nativity set stable house that holds the statues of the nativity scene was vandalized, reports the Chase Sunflower. The thick window panes encasing the statues were smashed by the vandals, and the statue of Mary was dragged some distance away from the small nativity building. It was found shattered on a rock. There was also an attempted fire started. The evidence to support this claim of a fire was a tampering with the propane tank. The congregants of the area noted the vandalism after returning to church that weekend. The actual church itself had its’ windows smashed in as well. No one was injured at the time of the incident.
