A statue of the Virgin Mary that sits outside of the Church of the Ascension in Langley, British Columbia has been smashed to pieces, reports BC Local News. The statue had been dumped in a nearby ditch, and a neighbour found the statue in pieces. The pieces were brought back to the Church. The priest, Fr. Favero, noted that the incident was not reported to the Oceanside RCMP. Other incidences of vandalism and theft had happened to the Church and to the priest as well.
