OTTAWA, March 16, 2010 – The national March for Life takes place on Parliament Hill May 13, with related events beginning May 12. This is the largest annual pro-life event in Canada, and the League is encouraging as many of its members as possible to participate. Last year’s march, which marked the 40th anniversary of the first liberalization of Canada’s abortion laws, drew a record-breaking 12,000 participants and, unusually, some national media coverage.
The complete program includes Mass and non-denominational prayer vigils, as well as the Rose Dinner and youth conference. Contact your local pro-life group to inquire about transportation.
