TORONTO, Oct. 1, 2004 Catholic Civil Rights League today announced that Jason Kenney, MP, will be keynote speaker at its annual general meeting Oct. 28. Members and guests and invited to hear Mr. Kenney discuss the challenges faced by Catholic politicians in Canada today, particularly when the secular agenda conflicts with Church teachings.
The meeting will take place in the auditorium of St. Michaels Choir School, 66 Bond Street, Toronto. CCRLs executive will be elected for the coming year. The CCRL business portion will be at 6:30, with Mr. Kenneys keynote scheduled for 7:30.
Catholic Civil Rights League (www.ccrl.ca) assists in creating conditions within which Catholic teachings can be better understood, cooperates with other organizations in defending civil rights in Canada, and opposes defamation and discrimination against Catholics on the basis of their beliefs.
