On November 1 a fire broke out at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hamilton, Ontario, reports CBC News. A person had called in the fire at around 1 P.M. The church had relocated its parishioners to a near by church, St. Eugene’s Parish, for the time being, though the Church’s Christmas Bazaar would still happen. The police arrived on the scene after the fire fighters. The most damage was done to the back room of the church which was on fire when police officers arrived. The church had been full of smoke. The main altar and a secondary wooden altar were also burned. One of the windows was broken, and the sanctuary of the church had been trashed. Police also noted that two cases of wine used for the mass had been taken. All these damages result in around 50,000-75,000$. There is still an ongoing investigation at this time.
