The CCRL is devoted to combating anti-Catholic defamation and to bringing Church teaching to bear on issues of public debate
Queen Elizabeth II reigned with dignity for over 70 years. She was the Head of the Church of England, and she lived her life as a faithful Christian glorifying God first, ahead of her own earthly kingdom. May other leaders and Heads of State learn from her example.
On August 2, Statistics Canada released a report on police reported violent crime in Canada, revealing that the largest increase in targeted crime occurred against Catholics, with a 260 percent increase between 2020 and 2021.
The League calls on its supporters and friends and all Catholics in Canada to pray not only for successful engagement with our Indigenous brothers and sisters in Christ, but for true advancement of reconciliation between the Church and Indigenous peoples who suffered in residential schools or through their legacy. We also ask that Canadian Catholics also pray that the media responsibly covers the Holy Father’s visit.
Let us show courage and fortitude as we fight the battles and bear witness.
Christ is risen. Indeed, He is truly risen! Alleluia, alleluia!
