The CCRL is preparing its release regarding this morning's decision by the Ontario Court of Appeal to uphold the effective referral mandate, which forces physicians to refer patients to others to perform procedures that they find morally objectionable.
Today's ruling agrees that they are being discriminated against on the basis of religion when they are required to provide referrals for such services, but says the infringement is a justified one under section 1 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. https://t.co/DirUzIQDLg
